Very nice Phil. I'm not sure which looks better the before or the after. It's a good thing I just got done with dinner or I would have been trying to eat my computer screen.:rotf:
The country your'e hunting in makes me remember the first hunting I did near Goodyear, Az. Now there is a prison there.
I hope you enjoyed the feast as much as I did.

The feast was great and later that week the left overs went out with 3 of us on a hunt as a cold snack, they still tasted very good. I am familiar with Goodyear, , fresh out of college in 1977 I was offered a A&P mechanics job at a soaring club maintaining the tow aircraft. It was about 110 degrees, and when I got offered a job in Tucson that same week it was about 5 degrees cooler and I took that job. I have been here ever since.

Maybe if you encounter the Mars Rover it will hold still for a point! Love the desert, thanks for sharing.

i think i hear that rover coming now...hunting in the desert would be new to me... charlie

Just to set things straight, the Mars rover is not allowed in the Mojave Wilderness Area.
No motor vehicles allowed!

If you want to hunt it, you can walk or else you can walk. It is amazing that such a dry, baron habitat can hold a vast population of desert critters. Once the weather starts to cool and the birds spread out, hunting it should become more favorable.
