C.O.B what years were you in Bad Tolz. My team sgt. was there for many years since he married a German girl .He was a Korean war vet.too served in a leg inf. unit during Korea then went SF. His name was John R. McLaughlin on the off chance you knew him.

I was very fortunate in that I never had to leave the USA:) I just missed the first sand box conflict in 1971 also. When I was in the military I didn't care for it at all, now I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. A young man can learn alot by serving a few years in our armed forces. Now I wished I had stayed as I would have a pension and health care. hindsight is always crystal clear.
