I don't believe our friend, Mr. Kaas, will be out of eight bores when he sells his Parker.
Our friend, Destry, has what is probably the most wonderful eight gauge out there, and shoots it at game as I recall.
I wish there was a clear kill shot but here is a video of a waterfowl hunt in the UK with Tolley 8 bore.

I celebrated the 4th by loading up the one empty (but with a good primer) 4 bore case that I have with 4 oz. of DuPont ffg black & fired it off last night in the E.M. Reilly double. I think I woke up the whole neighbourhood. Very little recoil as there was no shot ahead of the charge.

George, if I ever fire any of my box of 4 gauge Eleys, I'll send you a few empties.
Bill: That would be GREAT! The one empty that I have is a Winchester Leader dated 1901.
Best Regards, George |
After spending several months looking, I found a supplier in England that supplies 4ga. plastic hulls. I purchased 50, which is likely more than a lifetime supply. I have not got around to loading any yet, but I will before fall turkey season. I have wads and plan on using Blue Dot powder.
Daryl, you are "The Man".
That leader is a great shell, only made between 1901 and 1907.
