finder's fee offered for an original VH 20 or 16 gauge stock with the original Parker butt plate - for the right price!
thanks - Tony |
Anthony,
Please post the frame size and serial number range of the gun, i.e. 135,xxx. The drop of Parker's top tang varied throughout their years of production. This means that not all Parker stocks are interchangable even between receivers of the same frame size. Mark |
I have 2 different No. 1 frame Parkers that are within a few thousand S/N of each other and they do not interchange at all.
|
As Mark correctly mentioned. The drop(angle) of the top tang of the frame will vary. One of the biggest differences I have noticed is between pistol grip stocked guns and straight stocked guns. In fact the angle of the floor plate tang(for lack of a better word) varies quite a bit also between these two stock styles. This by itself is a big reason these stocks are not "bolt on's".

#131424 - pistol grip stock VH 20 gauge

Anthony,
I am not sure what your VH 20 with 32" barrels is worth but I bet it is plenty! If it were me for a highly collectable Parker such as yours, I'd pay a professional to find and fit a proper Parker stock to it. Just my not so humble opinion, Mark |
still looking for an original stock
