As I posted in a previous thread, "This is my favorite SxS shoot!" I think these photos articulate why...
Was good to see the boys, I hadn't been to a double gun event in awhile. Don managed to move some guns, Kevin sold some cases, and I sold some of my various junk too. All in all a successful event for the three of us I think. Thanks to Mark for letting me room with him on Friday night and driving me around.

Destry,
You are most welcome. Heck, listening to you spin those yarns was payment ten-fold! I am still smiling over the bar-b-que story. :) Mark |
Dean, Rich's new bird gun wouldn't be my old 20 gauge, would it?

out standing.... charlie

Yes Bill, I believe it is.
Bill, yes thats your old 20. The stock is done now I just have to wait for the rest of the engraveing to be completed then it's off to be case colored. I will be hunting with it this fall. It's my deepest wish that Gunner will be able to join me on a hunt with "his" gun but I just don't think it's in the cards for him unfortunately.
Rich, that is one fine portrait. Where did the color come from that is on the front of the receiver? Does that result from the annealing of the metal for engraving? I'm happy to have participated a bit in your project.
Bill I think the picture your referring to regarding the color is a different gun. I looked through the pics again and the only one of my gun is the floorplate with Gunner. My gun is far from done. The sides will feature two Grouse on one side and two Pheasants on the other with a Woodcock on the trigger guard.
OK, now I know which picture is my old 20. What a great portrait of Gunner. I can't wait to see the finished product.
