Thanks to my Parker Brothers!
PGCA,
This is my first post as a member and wanted to take a second to thank the PGCA for the membership and opportunity to participate in the Young Shooters Next Generation photo contest. Sorry the post is a little late but ive been extremely busy since i got home from school. Also, we had a great Virginia Vintagers shoot at old forge on May 26. Great seeing Mikes Harris, Carl Brandt, John Truitt, The Blakes, Jent Mitchell, and many others. We even had another lady shooter with us, Ann Mauro, which was a nice change since i usually dont get to shoot with many ladys. Cant wait for the next shoot! Thanks again, Alyssa Liles |
Hi Alyssa!
You are most welcome - and great first post! It had better not be your last ;) ;) Anyway - it's folks like you who the PGCA counts on for our future - so, our collective thanks back to you..! Also - if you have some free time this summer, and are doing some shooting - this thread might interest you (just click on the title below - and it will take you to that thread..) : “Heat of the Summer” – Young Shooters “Virtual” Summer Competition BTW - did you get the gift card from Kittery Trading Post OK (and your certificate?).. Just checking, as I can't wait to see what you buy me with that gift card ;) :D (Just kidding!!! ) My best to you - and again - simply... Thank you... John |

Alyssa, Welcome to the PGCA! This is great news and its wonderful to have you aboard. Danny and I enjoyed seeing you and "Dear Old Dad" at the Southern again this year. Now we need to find you a Parker so that Dad will catch the disease... Thank You for helping to secure the future of our sport....
For those of you that have never had the pleasure of meeting this great gal. Here she is recieving the womens first place trophy at this years Southern. |
Hi Alyssa and welcome! Congratulations on your well deserved trophy too.
I hope your post here is a catalyst for other young shooters and new PGCA youth members to post here too. We would really like to hear from all of them. |
Alyssa ( or may I call you Lizzard as your Dad does ),
Welcome to the PGCA. We have organized a search committee to find you the perfect "Ladies Parker". I think all of our members have at least one gun with a shorter than normal LOP that would fit you. It would be wonderful to have you on the Parker team at the challenge next year. Please inform us of your preferred LOP, DAC, etc. and we will do what we can to get you over from the dark side.:) |
Hey Guys!
Yes, Mr. Dunkle, I recieved my Kittery Trading Post gift crad and my certificate! I cant wait to use it. Dave- It was great seeing you and Danny as well, we had so much fun this year at the southern. As far as diseases go, mom is still trying cure dad of his other disease but next time he needs another, im sure itll be a Parker. Also, thanks for the picture of me recieving my cup, i havent seen that one yet! Hope to see you guys soon! Actually Mr. Corona i was hoping to find a 100 dollar Parker on the used gun rack at Kittery Trading Post ;) however since ill probably be shooting my Pigeon grade L.C. Smith during the hammerless event next year, i would love to find a Parker that fit me for the hammer gun event! Im not sure what my measurements are but we'll check them out and let you know. And last but certainly not least, OF COURSE you can call me Lizzard, i wouldnt have it any other way! |
Please Lizzard, call me Daryl. Mr. Corona is my father and he is alive and well at 92. When I'm 92 and you are about 52 then you can call me Mr. Corona but not before then. By the way John, you and your wife did a good job on the Liz. Hope to see you both soon.
