I had Howard Miller install one in a. 20 ga. VHE in 1971 and nary a hiccup. This gun has been shot thousands of times, captured the 20 ga. hammerless championship at the Vintagers twice. That's 40yrs. of reliability that can't be matched by any modern day gun. The only thing ever repaired on this gun was the left ejector. So yeah, Mr. Miller makes a damn good trigger.

I agree! I liked it so much, I bought the company! (Remember that old Remington razor commercial they used to play at Christmas time?)

We're here to continue the tradition and service that Elmer and Howard began.

We're slowly rebuilding the business, adding back features and products that the Millers offered that haven't been available for a while, like the Single Set Trigger for Mausers.

We're also going to be adding L. C. Smith to the regular lineup of installations so you guys better look out at the next challenge! ;)

Thanks for the kind words about Miller Trigger and for Ken and I. We appreciate it.

Warmest regards, Dan May

Parker guys,

I have no experiance with Miller Single Triggers but have twice met and spent a few hours discussing vintage guns, triggers, and gunstock repair, refinishing, and replacement with Dan May. He is a gentleman of highest integrity who, if he informed me that he could do the job in a defined period of time and for an agreed upon price, I would have no doubt of his ability to deliver.

Best of luck to you Dan!

How about looking in the old coffee can for a Miller for a Rem 32

Dan May 12-31-2011 08:09 AM

Mark,

Thanks, you're very kind! Looking forward to chatting again.....

Eddie,

I have had a few requests for 32's but I just don't know if the demand is there to commit to the research and development. I probably do have a few examples in the collection, maybe I'll look into it one of these days...... Unfortunately, only so many hours in a day and we need to make maximum use of them!

Best, Dan

I looked at a Parker with a Miller trigger (rocker selector in from of the trigger) and the auto safety didn't work. Is that a result of the Miller trigger being installed or was something wrong with the linkage in the auto safety?

Jeff Kuss 12-31-2011 11:24 AM

Robin,
I have a trojan with a miller trigger. The auto safety doesn't work on it either. I seem to remember reading that the safety is changed with the single trigger.

Jeff is correct - Conversion to a Miller single requires a manual safety.

Howard and Elmer both being trap and pigeon shooters (Miller, pere, one of some note) would have had nothing but distain for an automatic safety...and rightly so... I believe it was the Prophet Jeremiah once warned the Israelites that, "The automatic safety is an abomination before God!"...the Millers came from religious stock...

Tell me about it. I missed an easy double jump shooting ducks a couple days ago because of that Canaanite safety.
