Can you post a picture of the head of the stock for us?
|
Guys,
Sorry for the late reply. I had to make a quick international trip...now back. I have included a few extra pics for your review. You help is really appreciated....I do though have a few thoughts as this could have come off a H & H, Westley Richards, Fox or Parker....I really just don't know. Anyway, thanks again And here are the pics... http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/n...7/b48b1417.jpg http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/n...7/977eda1f.jpg http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/n...7/b2fc7b97.jpg |
It looks like it's for a Parker to me. Nice find.

But... the safety chanel is way too opened up for an original safety setup to work. However it does look like a later Parker. Would not be for a Fox or an earier style Parker do to the lack of a vertical chanel in the front for the top lever linkage. And plus a Fox would not have any wood removed for the hammers. They do not cock back into the wood at all.
Looks like a stock that was made for a Parker, not original. And the safety would have been non operational too. |
Could this stock have been set-up for a single trigger gun?

Could have. Had a few smaller frame Parkers with single triggers. |
I cannot vouch for the single trigger. Have not been into one of those to know the looks of them.
