A couple years ago Ivory Beads had a 32" DHE that Pachmayr upgraded with fancy wood and BT forend. I believe a vent rib may have been added also. It was a very nice gun and the upgrade was done in good taste. It was offered at around $5k.

One of the very worst things that arose from the 'if it feels good do it' era of the 60's and 70's is the idea that there is no right or wrong; there are only different perspectives and all are equal. I'd like to go into further detail but I'm off to the garage - today is the day I add a sunroof and 28" rims to my '31 Deusenberg.

Now that is funny. You made my day. Thomas

There are a good number of the Pachmayr Parkers on display in the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, WY.

Thanks, Dean- I didn't realize that

The DU magazine, unlike Field & Stream and others I may read, does NOT have a "letters to the editors" section. If they did, I might be tempted to ask for a research article on how many winners of those 50 special Pachmayr upgraded guns still own them, if they have ever shot them- either for clays or game birds--Last time I was in Cody and visited the museum, was about two summers after the big wildfires of 1988 that hit Yellowstone- if memory serves..:bigbye::bigbye:

Wow!! They went a bit over the top on the "Invincible" upgrade with the gold.Should belong to someone in the middle east or Detroit.

I agree. I also think they're a bit over the top in calling it an "Invincible" upgrade without it having a dressed hinge pin.

I wonder if I could get Pachmayre to inlay some gold ducks on my front teeth.
