I suppose I could have Eric bring the little CHE 16 Bernard with the roundaval (?sp) engraveing and the second set of 12ga Bernard bbls:cheers:
|
Ummm... doesn't the owner need to be present? Can I get a consensus here???
;) |
In Andersons case...No he doesn't.......:rotf:
|
Why???.... What's more important that the Annual Meeting & Banquet???
|
Dean, Dean...Nothing is more important than the annual meeting! I was just concerned that there may not be enough amber liquid in Louisville and the surrounding area if Mr. Anderson attended.......
|
Owner presence required? No way. One year in Ohio, the 28 gauge was the theme. A trusted friend could not attend. He asked if I could display his cased DHE 28 gauge, beavertail, vent rib gun. With some convincing, I agreed. That gun had not been handled by so many hands and cheeks in its seventy year life as it was that one evening. Yup, bring the gun, owner or not.
|
I just checked Mapquest and it's only 245.90 miles from Louisville to Lynchburg so a shortage of amber fluid might not be so much of a problem after all.
Bill, please bring that 28 ga. DHE to Louisville - not for the People's Choice but so that I too, can put one more loving cheekprint on it and pretend it could be mine. |
Whats more important than the annual meeting???? Well I'm glad you asked Mr. Dean Romig...It's called BIRD SEASON! A meeting during the season:nono:
Furthermore ANY organization that promotes guns and their use in the great outdoors that schedules a meeting during BIRD SEASON should have their calenders confiscated as it's readily apparent they arn't checking them:shock: You enjoy your little meeting and drooling over guns that A) Arn't yours and B) Should be out in the field not resting on a table. I will be in the coverts with my Parkers (and one Holland & Holland) along with my bird hunting buddy Gunner doing what should be done during bird season and thats hunting birds. After I get done hunting birds I'll relax in the comfort of a lumpy chair or couch and enjoy a fine cigar, a wee dram (ok 4 fingers) of the finest from Lynchburg and scratch Gunners ears. |
What bird season is open in Michigan in September? Certainly not grouse or woodcock - so don't tell me pen raised birds are more important :nono:
