Wonder what a Parker A-1 special 410 would bring at auction if they had made one? Anybody want to take a guess?

If we apply the “Never say never” maxim maybe they did make one. We don’t know every gun made.

There are rumors of a pair of long-barreled, VERY high grade Parker .410’s owned by two very elderly brothers (don’t know if they’re still alive) in the West, each owns(ed) one of the pair.
But unless someone can verify this it’s just that, a rumor.

And then there’s the AHE .410 (only one known) that auctioned about 6 years ago for a similar price as the Ithaca.

I think the Morphy text left a bit to be desired but didn't seem to hurt the sale.

I had always heard that the stolen .410-bore was the one and only Sousa Grade .410-bore? I also believe the Morphy folks are misreading those 1960s Ithaca counts. I think there were 22 No. 7Es and two of them were 28-gauge and two .410-bore. Also, there were two Magnum-12 No. 7Es and one Magnum-10 No. 7E that Walter stated in his book was 500146. So far, I've recorded seven 12-gauge, six 20-gauges, one 28-gauge and the two .410-bores. Add the unknown 28-gauge and the three Magnum-Frame 7Es that accounts for 20.

I'm thinking the same thing. Walt was just publishing those counts of high grades, 28-gauge & .410-bore and Magnum-frame NIDs that Ithaca did back in the 1960s.

So, if this one of two No. 7E .410 bore hammered at $130000 what would the one of one Sousa .410-bore bring?
