You are correct my friend. I’m reluctant to appear over indulgent and the 32” DHE 20 is a “forever gun”.

I am not in "shotgun procurement mode". I sold a few that I hadn't shot in years, but I did do some work to a T/L 12g hammer that I really like shooting. Now it fits and the triggers are no longer 9 lbs + each!! :eek: I moved a few rifles that I wanted to upgrade only because I like shooting suppressed and they didn't have threaded muzzles. I did win a couple of rifles and bought a few more after I flipped others. Won a 9mm PCC and a Ruger American Gen II in 6mm ARC (awesome shooter!) and a Ruger Mini14. Bought Ruger 77 in .22 Hornet and a Ruger 77 in .220 Swift. Also bought Ruger American rifles in .22 LR, 6mm Creedmore and .243 Rem. Also won a Sig P365 optics ready in 9mm. Life is good if you don't weaken! :rotf:

And what great prices for the quality. I have been singing their praises and buying a few as I find them. I have a 32, a 62 and a 66. I like the older ones with double triggers. Best handling guns I have ever handled for hunting. Unfortunately the prices seem to be trending upward at a moderate level. The great days to acquire may be ending. The older ones were trading at literally 5-10% of a new one, albeit built to a different use in most cases.

I recently sold a 32" 20 gauge LC Smith Specialty grade and replaced it with a DHE 20 gauge 30". The Smith is a fine gun but was choked full and fuller. The DHE is choked IC and IM and is a little more forgiving if I am not exactly on target.

I didn't pull the trigger on a Parker (figuratively) but acquired a 22-250 Remington Mod 70SPS (varmint gun) complete with Leupold glass and a cheap Spanish 28g, both for $500. Sold the spanish 28 to a gun shoppe in PA for $800 so for once I did a good deal. A 12g 28" Fox A, a CZ 457MTR .22LR, a Uberti .45 Long Colt and probably on the way this week another Tikka T3X Roughtec in a large enough caliber to kill a moose. I don't have a moose trip planned, but when the gun gets here I have to go moose hunting, most likely Newfoundland and am in conversation now with an outfitter.

I’ve gone down the rabbit hole lately of English Shotguns with adding a W&C Scott 12 gauge with the crystal cocking indicators from a fellow member on this site and a 12 gauge Gold Name Westley Richards. I have parted with two Parker hammer guns that I love but are not very practical hunting pheasants without a dog. I’m looking to add an English 2” 12 gauge in the 5.5lb range and parting with an Arrieta 2” that was a hair over 6lbs and really to heavy for the 2” load.

Matt I have been purposefully avoiding English shotguns. But I will say a sub 6lb British gun in 12 with short loads and 3/4oz of shot to me might be the most perfect grouse gun. I handled one at Robin hollow 4-5 years ago and was forced to put it down after seeing the price.

I've tried to behave this year and limited myself to an 1899 0 frame GH damascus Parker (got a bad thing for 0 frame 16s) and recently a sweet little 5# Italian 410 Iside. Selling some 3 screw Ruger single action revolvers, ended up with way too many.
