That is great Jay, Good for YOU:bowdown:
I for some reason have an itch occasionally for a gun ordered and made here in the US, I hope that opportunity remains an option, but one never knows. Darn it, now you put another crazy idea in my small brain:crying: |
Stan, I don't want to sound over dramatic, but for me this was the closest thing to what it must of felt like to order a Parker. I walked in, looked at different grades/configurations, chose my options and received a wonderful gun made in Connecticut.
I would definitely do it again. I was thinking if I got a 24 gauge I might finally have a chance to win 1st place in something at the Southern! |
Jay, that is a beautiful gun. The deep chiseled engraving looks great. I had heard that CSMC didn't have many frames for the scaled frame 410 left, so you are lucky to get yours when you did. My buddy Steve has one and ne loves it. They are great shooters. Can't wait to see yours this spring at your R.I. shoot.

And it is great to see you got Double Triggers.
|
I may have ordered one if I knew I could get 30" barrels. I thought they were overpriced, but not by much. I also never saw any evidence that there were engraving choices.

I've got about a 4-inch stack of CSMC catalogs I only see the RBL .410 in one.
Attachment 136948 In addition to the "regular" RBLs they advertised Specials and the RBL Galleria for engraved and gold inlayed versions. In addition there are the Christian Hunter versions. |
I'm not on Tony's preferred list for special order guns. $6995 doesn't seem so bad now.

When I found out I could get 30" barrels, double triggers, straight stock and a splinter forend(in a 410) I was sold!

I have a 20 gauge Launch Edition gun (#198)which I really like. Case coloring looks real to my eye, but after a small section on the top rear of the receiver flaked off, I sent the gun back and they restored it without cost.
