Yes, I've seen that data, but like I previously mentioned some of us would like to see some 7/8 oz. 572 load data published as well.

Make some up and send them for testing. If 1 oz loads fall between 5400 and 6900 PSI, I'd bet that the 3/4 oz loads would fall in a very similar range.

You can. safely drop that load to 7/8 or even better 3/4oz. You can thank me later.

Nope, standard 3/4oz 28ga load, 1150-1200fps.

I am a little surprised that nobody has asked where to find a bushing chart for Winchester 572 because it is not listed in the official MEC bushing chart. Hodgdon has their own MEC bushing chart and the MEC bushings throw same number of grains for both Longshot and Win 572 but the two powders are not interchangeable as far as I know.

I’m in the process of loading a box of 10’s with 572 . Did have to make some deviations cheddar cheese hulls in place of Federals , cheddar cheese primers in place of Federal 209A’s and a 3/8” wad in place of two 1/8” cards . Didn’t bring a 10 to the shop so I could test a couple in the snail so that’ll have to wait until I go home and trim a tree limb or two . Also using a #27 bushing is maybe a 1/4 grain under what the Hodgdon recipe says .

You can make fun of Cheddite if you want to but if it hadn't been for that company we would have gone several years without any 209 primers to buy.

That's great but who is "you guys" and why are you bringing politics into this thread?

Shot four of them in an NH 34” that weighs about 10 1/4 pounds with a nice KickEez on the back . They felt quite comfortable and took down a pair of rather stout (about 4” diameter ) limbs that were up a bit on the high side .
