I had a Darne in 12g. I was always intrigued by the action. I believe I traded it back to its former owner on this site. If that gun would have been this 28g, it would still be in my possession!! That’s a very nice Darne you have there. :clap:

I have no knowledge of Darne's but this one is at a local dealer advertised as an R16 20ga with 29.5" barrels with a sticker price of $3000 CDN.... is it worth it?

A fairly scarce gun in 20 ga. with the longer barrels. Sling swivels don't enhance it much but that's a Euro thing seen on many of their doubles. Would make a nice dove gun.

The 28 is beautiful, the 20, not so much.

I can tell you the receivers on Darnes were not blued like this 20 gauge so that has been done outside the factory. I question whether the gun may have been restocked as well looking at the piece of wood on this gun which is very nice. The price is high in my opinion for a non original Darne.
