Very nice gun indeed. One wonders what the right hand side of that stock looks like, since the left side is so beautiful. BTW, I have found that if I do only the slightest amount of editing to a cell phone picture and then post it, it comes out right side up. :)

Agreed, first thing I did was as remove the trigger guard and check number, perhaps an employee hooked himself up building a gun for themselves or an executive. Who knows but fun to think.

Back in the 60's/70's, Remington would take wood which would have been used on their highest grade guns but had a minor blemish and put it aside. The wood was too good to be put on a standard gun, so it was saved for Director's standard grade guns or perhaps other "Special" folks
