Sorry to hear of Lori's passing!

Every interaction I had with her over the phone was a positive one and I'll always think highly of both her and Brad. Looking at her age, I see where she's two years younger than I am & that's way to young to pass these days.

I wish the Bachelder family well, but unfortunately the heady days of having Parker work done at Bachelder gunsmithing has passed along with the two great people who made it all happen.

Lori--Thanks for the kindness you showed me over the years!! Godspeed!!

I am sad. I was lucky enough to meet Brad and Lori, tour the shop, have Parker assist with incredible knowledge. The team brought an 1884 10 gauge back to life and that gun was then given to me by my late father. It started my long needed passion in life.
Put your guns down folks. Consider the contribution not only to the revival of worn out guns, but the contribution to life. Mine was changed the day I went to Bachelder Master Gun makers. I am lucky, blessed, and grateful to have had Brad Bachelder work on several Parkers, but more so to shake the hand of and look a Master in the eye and say thank you.
Appreciate that tough days are ahead. Hope all works out for everyone involved.
I hurt for the family, I send my energy, and I am sad.

Sent a Parker hammer gun to Bachelder 1 year before he passed to fit a new barrel. Wasn't sure I wanted anyone else there to do the job after his passing so asked Parker to send it back. Took 2.5 years and a thousand phone calls to get the gun back as every time I called Parker said said he couldn't find it nor had the time to look for it. Lori called me one day out of the blue and said they found it and sent it back to me at my expense. Nevermore.

I had many great experiences with Brad. The work he did on my Parkers was beyond reproach.
After he died I don’t know if it was overwhelming sorrow or a simple inability… or maybe nobody else there cared about the customers or the business, but it just collapsed after he passed.

Brad was excellent to deal with as was Lori.

The barrels I got from you, Dean, went out there to be fitted, and the day the gun arrived, Brad called me and we went over everything in detail. Brad went into the hospital the following week, and passed away. I deliberately didn't pester them for a couple months, but then spoke with Parker about it, and thats when the excuses started coming. Every few weeks, I'd call and got a different story each time. Eventually, Lori told me it was done, and it would be in the mail by the end of the week. One YEAR later, it came back, no more fitted than when it went out there. Daylight between the breech, and water table, but perfectly reblued. It went out to Dave F. in CA, and was back in two weeks, properly fitted, profiled, and again, reblued.

Same kind of experiences I’ve had with Parker.

Too bad Dave Fjelline is out of the business now because of his health…
