I'm guessing that at some point the gun was restocked, as the nose of the comb is very much more like a Remington era stock.

Looks like a well carried Colt Huntsman First Issue 4 1/2-inch. My father and uncles had Woodsman. Only two pistols I own.

I had to add it to the collection! I've got a problem.

You're not alone, though none of us are looking for a cure.

Darren, I would recommend that you send the gun to me immediately for disposal. That gun is an accident waiting to happen with those uber dangerous twist steel barrels and probably short chambers which should never ever be shot with smokeless powder shells. I will be happy to safely keep that gun out of the hands of the unsuspecting shooting public. PM me and I'll send you my address and a prepaid shipping container.

Ha! As stoked as I am with this gun I'll probably never get rid of it. I know it's probably not with much, but it's worth a lot to me. :rotf:

Darren, you’re going to enjoy shooting that Parker. Sweet gun. Have fun with it. These guns were made to be shot, not to sit in a safe. Once you start shooting it you’ll want another, then another, then another. Welcome to the sickness!! :rotf:

I haven't even shot it yet and I'm already wanting another one. This is also my first 16 gauge, and that also has sparked a new fire in me.

Noticed one other thing in the pictures. What is with that second screw in the trigger guard tang, obscuring the last digit of the serial number?
