Just loaded a couple cases of these last week. I'll have the 10s at Ernie's but not the Southern.

I’ll have my 10’s at the Southern and at your place , don’t plan on making Ernest’s this year . And quite possibly the Vintage Cup depending on venue :bigbye:

How does that load perform in below freezing weather? The 19 gr Red Dot load with 1 1/8 ounce lead tested at 6700 psi, Green Dot being a slower powder with 1 ounce would likely have considerably lower pressure.

To be honest I dunno . I used it one day for quail in December but the temp was high 30’s low 40’s . But it seemed to do okay .

low pressure 10 ga loads and cold weather are not a good combo. I have found over the years i had a lot of squib loads. 7500 psi is i would call a low pressure load in a 10 ga. i know my 3 framed 10s can handle that and more with the thick barrel walls. imho

Thankfully I live in the south so generally I don’t need to take that into consideration . Plus this stuff will be shot in the warm months for the most part . If I take a 10 to a tower shoot I’ll be shooting the regular 1 1/4 ounce load .

I was looking in my storeroom for more 16 gauge card wads and found some that I didn’t know I had . They’ll be used up shortly !

Got to the 1/2” 16 ga cards today . No need for beans in these with an ounce of shot . Looks good in both the Remington and Cheddar Cheese hulls .

I keep being amazed when I’m digging around in the old loading room now turned into pretty much a store room what I find that I’d forgotten I had . Think I found 100 new Remington trimmed to 2 7/8” primed hulls and upon further searching I found 200 more new unfired untrimmed Remington hulls . All 10 gauge if you hadn’t surmised as much .

Had a very few Winchester trimmed down hulls . The 1/2” wad and an ounce works out pretty well also .
