Greg, very nice, I do love 16'! I bet thats a sweet gun to shoot!!
And Pete, I wish I could make it down tomorrow night, but can't. Let me know what night (S) you guys will be shooting next week though. |
Update on the P gun. I just returned from the 'smith and got the particulars on my gun. The barrels are in great shape, minimum wall thickness of 38 & 36. Choked IM and a tight full. Chambers not lengthned, still original. I got 7Lb 14oz on my digital scale, but on his she weights 7Lb 4 Oz. Guess I better get a new scale. One barrel is fine but one has three small dents, I missed that, but they are pretty small. No pitting in either barrel. The worst news is that the "wiggle" in the barrels was a little worse than I thought. Off face and definately needs fixing. Bottom line is I left the gun to be put right. Dents will be raised, put back on face and fix the screws. Be there a couple of months. $100 for the dents and $350 to tighten up. Not bad in my mind. Now I just have to wait.
