David Long,

No thank you!
I'll stick to my Parkers.

Ed Blake 04-10-2011 10:23 AM

John - I'll bet Bill Apperson could make one.

While the 21 has a good ejector system, the trigger and the forend barrel lug have issues. Just ask Buddy Marson. I could buy a nice Trojan for all the postage Buddy has in shipping costs to repair Model 21's. . Maybe even a VHE.

Ed,

I spoke to Bill last week. He is completely out of the gun buisness.
Looks like our go to repair guy is no longer available.

Ed Blake 04-10-2011 02:49 PM

John, if you do not find the spring, you can shoot my gun is the spring off the 34' D Grade? I am bringing it to the southern.

John Truitt 04-12-2011 10:35 PM

Mr. Carmichael,

Thank you for the very kind offer. Fortunately a very generous member has found a spring and it is in transit. It is off of my go to gun, a 34" DHE 9 pounder. Bad thing is my back up to her is iffy at best (another 34" DHE 8 and 3/4 pounder) as she has a doubling tendency. As of now I have patched my primary and she is working but for who knows how long.
Hope all is well. Hope to see you soon. I am glad that gun is coming. I always like to see it and know where she is. :)
