I guess they figured they had to boost their profit margin that way....

You know, the old "S&H" charge.

I’ve bought non-gun items in the past. Never had a bad experience.

I will say that the auction house did use a third party packer/shipper . I think it was the local UPS store as a matter of fact . but the idiots packaged the gun in two pieces as you'd expect but instead of putting them inside the LOM case that came with the gun they packaged the gun in a box and the case in a box and both were put inside a larger box

Craig, it takes all kind of critters to make Farmer Vincent's fritters. Just sayin'.

OK, Mike, I'm collecting all of your quirps for a book I have planned, entitled: Just Sayin' I'll sign copies for your friends.:)

(Keep 'em comin'!)

He does have some decent comebacks even if he does live on the wrong side of the line :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf:

Hows it go American by birth , SOUTHERN BY THE GRACE OF GOD :bigbye:

Craig, if you want fair shipping charges, don't buy a 20 page gun catalog or a box of shells from Ward's Auction. I've never bought a gun from them, but I am not looking forward to the shipping charges. To be fair, maybe things have changed since my bad experiences.

Agree on Ward's but Oregon is a long way from the east coast! Just sayin'.

As a Southerner through and through, I do know the wonders and pleasures of being born below the line. That being said, I do believe that the Honorable Mountain Mike carries a lot of the Southern Sentiment (notice it's capitalized) in his heart. Craig, I think he'd fit right in.:)
