There seems to be a lot of variation in the rear two-inches of Parker beavertail forearms. From a 1922 Parker Bros. catalog when the beavertail was only offered in 12-gauge --

The abbreviated picture of the forend looks quite original. The case colors can't be evaluated from the small area we see in the picture. That said, I like them.

There are at least 3 distinct different styles of Parker beavertail forends. This one is one of them.

It’s an early style forend. As time passed PB changed the shape and checkering patterns. Nice gun.
