I've tried cleaning with Hoppe's No. 9 bore cleaner with both a brass brush and a cloth swab. I was not overly aggressive, but I believe it needs a professional polishing. It also has a couple of dents that need repairing. Overall the gun looks good for the age.

The gun is in pretty poor condition. Restocked, heavily patinated, off face and with badly dented/pitted bores. The gun realistically has the most value as parts.

V grade 1 1/2 frame, began life circa 1916 as a capped pistol gripped 28" 12g. Stock has been repaired. Average quality gun at best but not much better than the first one. These barrels are dinged up too.

I spoke with my Minister yesterday, and he just wants to find a home for these two guns to someone that understands the condition. Does anyone have a suggestion?
