Mr. Dudley is correct as usual. I will quit making assumptions and just go with actual observations. And Mr. Flanders is also correct that the entire innards had light corrosion from an apparent high humidity environment. I couldn't determine the actual cause of the misfire and will not speculate as to the actual issue. After cleaning and lubricating everything I could get to everything seems to be in order now. I also opened the action on my reproduction 20, GH 12, and Trojan 12 to inspect, clean and lube. The 20 had the same apparent lack of lubrication on points where I would have assumed a grease type lube would be necessary. The original GH and Trojan had old, dried lube that I cleaned and re-lubed. I can tell a difference already in just dry firing on snap caps. Now I have two Ithaca NIDs and a LC Smith I need to look at.
