Missed meeting Morris in Michigan

I attended the "Yooper Shoot" in June 2010 as a "first-timer" and prior to that, had spoken with Morris on the phone. Found out that he, like me, is also an avid crow and woodchuck shooter, also he visits the UP each Fall for woodcock and grouse. Alex and his beautiful wife and helpmate were there at the RST booth, but Morris had to cancel at the last moment. I had looked forward to seeing the 20 VH that was once Burton Lowell Spiller's favorite shotgun for "Partridge Shortenin'" (meaning, shorting their flight path with a well placed load of shot)-- I was also prefared for Partegas or Cuesta Reyes, with appropriate post-shooting drams of some single malt from the Britsh Isles- not my beloved Bushmills of course, but when in Rome- etc.

Brian was also at the Yooper shoot, and I have also seen him at the Michigan LP SxS clays funfest in April and June near Lapeer, MI-- I agree 100%, both these specialized shell companies give great personal service, and they are owned and run by avid double gun shooters. Just as if you are a millwright at GM, you drive a GM car or truck and buy stock in the company, we should all in turn do business with RST and New Era, as they support the PGCA and our brother side-by-side assns. and "In Spades"--:bigbye::bigbye::bigbye:

It is with great pain that I push the "Thanks" button on Francis for the first time, but he made some good comments about my friend Morris Baker and the vintage ammunition business in general.

Bill,

I always took into consideration Francis was a jarhead! That forgives many transgressions.

Harry- Thank you both Harry and Bill. Bill, with the blessed St. Paddy's O'Day soon upon us, I'll toast you and the Murphy clan with both Guiness and a tot of Bushmills. You probably have noted that your family crest- four cornered rampant lions with a central banner with three sheaves of wheat is a bit of the warp and woof of Sir Joseph Whitworth Fluid Compressed Steel logo, two sheaves for his Limeyness--Was planning on bringing Granddad's AHE 12 32" pigeon gun to the Southern to 'shoot-and show" but have to say, being retired and the Libyan scenario and gas prices, have to save my dinero for the MI Yooper in June- that one has me hooked, and Alex and Jill have promised to bring more flats of 12 ga. spreader loads- they sold out of those on Friday apparently--And Morris has a standing invite to decimate woodchucks and barn pigeons with me if his travels ever bring him to my part of MI- a class guy- what Hemingway would have called "Un Rey Del Mundo Hombre"--:bigbye::bigbye:
