Further, on page 71 the author lists Charlie as a source of information.

In the Parker Story they say its a 000 frame even though the 3 pictures of the gun in the book don't show the stamped 00. I can't see Mr. Price giving the author different information.

What is the center-to-center firing pin spacing? That should tell if it is a 00 or 000 frame/

Right - regardless of the stamp.

And Charlie would have given a truthful answer, again, regardless.
The fact that it was once his gun, he would certainly have known the frame size and how to measure it.

Thanks for making this simple. I came up with 13/16 which according to the bottom chart in the Parker Story on page 527 makes it a 000 frame. Interesting that my gun is pictured on preceding page 526. I also checked my 28 gauge thats on a 00 frame and it measured 15/16 which also confirmed that the 410 was 000 instead of the 00 that its stamped with. I am still baffled though why the 410 is stamped with 00 and is singled out by serial number in the American and British 410 book as being on a 00 frame. Anyway thanks again and I'm happy that the 410 is on the smaller 000 frame.
