Surprisingly nice. Low to mid 80’s and a breeze.

Well it was a heck of run, until it wasn’t. Between the Champion of Champions event on Wednesday and the Singles Championship on Thursday, I went 25-25-24-24-25-25-24-25-24-25-25-21. We shot the last box late in the day and by the time I got to post 5, I was having trouble with a capital “T” picking up the targets. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted and the Parker SA held up her end of the bargain. Doubles and handicap today.

I was down there for three days. It is an quite a spectacle. Monday was 95 degrees. That was pretty miserable. The next two days were very pleasant.

That's still very impressive John. I doubt I'll ever get to go there (not to shoot) but just to see what it looks like. Then again I might compare it to Vandalia which wouldn't be right. Just too far to travel at my age.

John, I could only dream about those scores. Congratulations.

Well this just wasn't my day. The juice just wasn't there. Doubles and Handicap were both humbling. Can't blame the Parkers, they did their part. It happens, fortunately not too often (knock on wood). Better luck next time. Headed back to God's country in the morning. As always, it was a blast.

If you can imagine a trap line three miles long it’s still beyond belief. Stan they have a Nostalgia Shoot that would be a great event for any Parker officianado to participate in. Or if you would just like to go and shoot at the Grand American it is a very accommodating venue. All shooters are welcome whether they be competitive like John or “Gentlemen Shooters” (to quote Charlie Herzog) like me. It’s a great experience.
