Mile, what's the S/N of your Trojan?

We have seen other features in the PB catalogs that were referred to as "only available as" or some similar language only to have documented specimens that had those features contradicting the catalog. The most recent that I recall was a discussion recently not to long ago concerning BTFE's where the 1930 PB catalog stated "only available in 12 gauge" in yet we have a documented 20 gauge contradicting that. Never say never eh....

I have a straight grip 20g Trojan, single trigger, checkered butt, two barrel set that will be in the display next week at our Rock Mountain SxS event. I think Mills has one too.

But that gun is not factory.

Asked about info on it and you looked it up. It’s from one of the missing books. 209285.
It even has a gold medallion under the stock with “FP” engraved on it. That means “First Place”.

Never said it was. But why would someone spend that much $$ on a 1920-something Trojan when they could have just ordered a graded gun for possibly less $$.

How many times have we asked ourselves that question about several guns. Because people have more money than brains.

And in that guns case, the gun was likely put together after a new Parker could be purchased.

Some folks (like me) think Trojans have an almost classic look to them with a lack of the frame sculpting of any grade above it. We have all seen examples of "upgraded" Trojans with loads of wonderful engraving, fantastic wood, et al.
I think they are a wonderful pallette for such enhancements.

That Trojan is beautiful, but I'm one of those guys that sometimes does things the hard way.
Example: I could go to the store and buy some meat, already wrapped in plastic, for not that much money.
But what am I doing? 1200 mile round trip, live in a tent on the side of a mountain for a week, and then attempt to take a Nevada Mule Deer with a muzzle loader.
Don't take any advice from me about anything requiring logic.

Todd, acquiring protein sounds perfectly logical to me.

My 20 Trojan had a nice slim BT on it when I bought it at the pawn shop..26"..Rib extension..Double ivory..I had Noelle engrave it..and Dave F. fitted an original straight grip stock..and a Galazan triggerguard..
