Not sure about the WD40 but I'm seriously considering Kroil. Remember the Old advertisement, "A little drop will do ya"? A drop of Kroil just might work thereby eliminating a drive to the gunsmith. But if it doesn't work...well then a drive to my favorite gunsmith is in the cards. Thanks

Maybe I should have emphasized "A DROP" of Kroil. I certainly wouldn't hose it, use very sparingly. One drop won't oil the stock down, will wick down into a mechanism and that stuff really cuts old lube, dirt, accumulated crud. Doesn't do much though for the ground oyster shell and Lab hair, common to coastal duck blinds!

I have always tapped mine loose with a piece of wood, although I will not suggest you do it. It has always worked for me. Tap in the direction you want the selector to move. That, and a drop of oil, is what the gunsmith will do.
