When I was gunning Springer trials, the best trial gunner I ever shot with shot a 30" Crown grade. He had restocked it into a non-original configuration, but the pheasants never knew what hit them

Karl, Two 0 frame GH 16s, one, an 1890s Damascus, and the other a 1920s fluid steel gun, also with 28 inch barrels. The last gun is a GH 20 built in 1920.

Gary: That 20 is FINE !

The back of my safe is not near as interesting, but there are some guns that havent seen the field for a good while--a Sterlingworth 20, 2 SW 16's, and a SW 12 pin gun, a Durstan Special 20 with ejectors and Lefever G 16, my first Parker, a 1 frame 16 28" did make it out for pheasant this year.

Those all sound worthy of a hunt...and a posted picture(?)

Charlie, Here's the safe-mate to the 4E 16, an earlier grade 4 12 gauge. It has as nice a piece of wood as I have ever seen, and sports what I believe is an original skeleton steel butt plate. Alas, no records exist for this nice gun.
