I didn’t get to the Vintage Cup this year. It was a conscious decision on my part. I’ve been to just about all of them beginning in Addieville, RI, Sandanona, Pintail Point, Hopkins and then Hausmans. Covid didn’t help last year, but the VC has run out of steam. I can’t see it gaining vendors or attendees unless it’s relocated where people can get to it easily and it has to have lodging available reasonably and close. It was a good run, but I’m thinking vendor support is waning and the majority of people are attracted by the vendors and the opportunities to see and purchase items they would never see in their local areas. Shooting is fun and an integral part of the event, but it won’t carry the day! I expect the Southern, in April, will be the major SxS event of the year. It’s been pretty consistent for sometime. These are just random thoughts from an old guy who has enjoyed many years of fun and friendship at all these events. Try not to beat me up too badly!

Robin Hollowhad a bunch of fresh to the market guns. Three friends bought 3 nice examples at market prices, a beautiful B Fox 12ga 30, a 20ga Sterlingworth 32 inch barrels with ejectors (only 5 known 2 with ejectors) and a mint model 42 Winchester. Poulin had a very high condition DH 8ga 34 inch Titanic barrels with great dimensions, a Fox XE 12 ga and untouched CE Fox 30 inch. Came home without writing a check.

I'll be going again next year for sure. The course is challenging, the attendees are downright friendly even to people they are meeting for the first time, the onsite food vendor has a good breakfast and lunch menu, social gatherings in the parking field welcome everyone, and the trip to the Vestal and Binghamton areas for dining and lodging is only 25-30 minutes away.
I will agree that there could have been more vendors, but greater attendance is key to that happening.
While the Southern is in a great location for those living along the Mid-Atlantic coast, Hausmann's is much more accessible for those of us living in the New York-New England areas. I hope that venue will flourish as time goes by.

As a first time attendee I would like to agree with you and give a shoutout to a Mr. Don Hanby. After arriving on Wednesday and proceeding to the office for registration he introduced himself to my wife and I and inquired if he could shoot a round with us and show us the course. Well since my wife wasn't shooting it worked out perfectly. Such nice hospitality led to a round on the course that day and another on Thursday. It was a good time shooting guns we loved.
It was a long drive for us and we didn't know what to expect once there but everyone was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I hope to return again if things work out on our end.

I HEARD VENDORS ARE NOT COMING BECAUSE OF THE HIGH PRICES FOR TABLES AND" MOST " OF THE SHOOTERS THAT DO COME NOT BUYING FROM THE VENDORS!

Harry

I bought a gun there in June but it was offered to me by the dealer at a noticeable amount under what he had on it if memory serves . It also fit a nitch in my competitive user Guns .
