There are two different mechanisms for shell removal. The simpler, more common system (which your gun appears to have) are extractors. Look at the exploded diagram - the extractor is part #10. The more complicated system which pops out the spent shell, while only lifting out unfired shells is called an ejector system. In that case the extractor-type part is split, so that it can accomodate shells which have been fired, and those which have not

According to the SN shown, your gun is not an ejector model. It will have a one piece extractor, which will only lift the shell far enough for you to pull it out by hand.
The "counter sunk screw" you speak of on the side of the stock head is an oft' seen repair to hold a split stock head together. Not necessary for a new stock. Here's some pics of an extractor http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=1347http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=1346http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=1394 Here's a damaged stock head that was held together with a wood screw. Is this what you were talking about with the "counter sunk screw"? http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=1364http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=1366http://parkerguns.org/forums/picture...pictureid=1367 |
Read FAQ #19, I think it will explain what you are asking. The FAQ page if found by following the FAQ link on the left side of the main page at www.parkerguns.org

i just realized that i m missing the tinny screw that holds the trigger spring in place, does anyone know where i can find such a screw? maybe something a watch maker might have laying around
|
What make of trigger does your gun have? If you don't know, post a closeup picture of the trigger from each side and we'll try to tell you what you have.
