As I said, Tony South is a pro and knows how to weld gun parts, and treat them afterward. If the engraving needs touch up, contact Noelle Feucht: 203-788-4828

Noelle is the engraver Dave uses as well.

I was standing there when that hammer broke on you . I didn't realize the hammer itself broke in half for some reason I thought the square that the hammer slipped over had broken off .

I happen to be a pro welder. IMHO, a guy that is good with TIG is the way to go. Some jewelry places have lasers nowadays. You'd be amazed how much BS is out there about welding, especially when it comes to castings. I've been doing it since 1992, with formal training back then. Very likely you'll want to anneal it regardless of the material and process. Guaranteed that it will need re-finishing to blend back in with the rest of the piece.
You could also use silver solder in paste form, making alignment much easier and more accurate, but for sure the solder wouldn't take any bluing or other finish. The repair would remain visible forever. |
Replace it….

If you sent it to Dave, it or they, would be making their way back. He is “Speedy Delivery”. I’d replace both for perfect match. Your not built to compromise.
