Chrome can't do it all.

That’s the same thing it did to me . I entered and it didn’t show I went to the cart and it showed like $500 plus . And that was on my phone . So I called and supposedly no problem . I bought 6,000 a few days earlier from a guy on Gunbroker for considerably more .

BPs wed site read “in stock” so just ordered several thousand this AM, no problem. Awaiting email confirmation. Maybe the shortage is beginning to abate.

I just wanted to see if they still had any and as of 11 AM today out of stock

That was fast. Email confirmation stated 7-14 days to ship.

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but are Cheddites dimensionally the same as 209's?

CraigThompson 07-08-2021 04:44 PM

I’ve had no issue so far in anything from a 10 to a 410 .

John,

Those Cheddite primers are 209's.

Dimensionally, they are maybe one or maybe two thousandths larger in diameter than US brand 209's.

If you use a single stage loader or a manually operated progressive loader, like a MEC Grabber, you will notice a little more effort to prime a hull that had previously US primers.

After the that, they feel about the same.

I've used Cheddites and went back to using Winchester 209's and they prime just fine.

That's my experience.

Bill

Your experience was the same as mine . I first as a test set loaded two 410 with WIN 209’s fired them then loaded again with the Cheetos primers and fired them no problem . Then I loaded WIN 209’s in the same hulls again and tapped them n a block of wood plenty to see if they’d loosen or move but no cigar .
