16 gauge coming back to life
You mentioned the rib being a mess, is it not less trouble to try and find a replacement rib than trying to fix all the pits you referenced? Looks like you picked the right guy for the job, beautiful wood. Good luck on the project.

Well it’s been awhile on this gun. The rib pitting was struck off, I added a 1 1/2 frame Remington era 12 gauge barrel to make it a 2 barrel set and the engraving is done.

That engraving is beautiful. It all really compliments the lines of the frame.

Same as most of the custom guns I have had engraved, Lemieux Armuriers, Quebec.
