Straight grip, 20 ga DH with 28" damascus barrels? Thinking that configuration is about as rare as a rocking horse turd.

. I wish I had walked into that store on the 6th the guy who got it must of felt like he won the lottery

Brett if you had walked in the the 6th you still would not have gotten it. I called on this gun on Dec 7th and was told they could not sell it until Jan 7 (state law waiting period) I offered to put it on my credit card full price and hold it until they could sell it on Jan 7, "No we can't do that", Said the salesperson on the phone. I asked why not you are getting your money a month sooner, his reply it was too confussing :banghead:. Do we see a pattern here...... Oh also tried to talk to the GL manager of course he was busy. I call on Jan 6th and asked about the gun and was told the same thing "we can't talk about that gun until Jan 7th "period". Come to find out the way it was explained to Rich's friend on Jan the 7 th, person came in on Jan the 6th was shown the gun and he put a hold on the gun and bought it on Jan 7th, very odd since I was told they could not even talk about the gun on Jan the 6th (but they could show it?) Gee wonder if an employee or employee's friend somehow bought that gun....?:cuss: Too bad no high level executives look at this website so they could see the slimy way some of these transactions are being done. And yes Cabelas lost another customer and I will try to convince others to do the same. Sorry for the rant. Eric

More likely one of the employees bought the gun, which would not surprise me at all. Just wondering when the gun will show up on Gunbroker or one of the other auction sites for sale at 2x the price. Like I said, that configuration is very rare and highly coveted - it'll show up somewhere.

I guess maybe they post some of these to get attention. Ive got to admit it worked on me I couldnt pass up the DH on the same page for 800. screws are bad and the recoil pad is really bad. But for 800 I figured one more project gun wont kill me.

The gun sold for 3K:eek: A gun needs to be in inventory for at least 120 days befor an employee can buy it, if memory serves that is now the policy.

The Washington store should have honored the request from the MN store to ship it when it became available on 1/7. They chose to ignore that request.

$3,000? That makes me sick. Any idea how many 20 ga D-grades were made in this configuration with a straight stock?
