If safety does not move, loosen each screw @1/8 turn each until safety moves then loctite in place. If there is too much loosening to make it work, you can shim top or bottom depending which area is too deep

I think you may be on to something....as I recall when I was playing with it, the safety would slide back and forth, but when I locked all the screws down, it wouldn't slide anymore. I might have to remove a little bit of wood below the safety??

No just the opposite not enough wood B/T top tang and trigger plate so when you tighten it up too much it binds and locks so it cannot move with normal pressure

I'm betting you did not get the safety lever inside the jacket, part 28, into the notch in the safety slide spring, part 30. This would obviously prevent the safety lever from moving forward. One has to line that up as one is putting the wood onto the top tang.

Then before you assemble anything else make sure as you move the safety the lever moves at the bottom before installing the floor plate and other items.

Go to the home page and on the left go to Technical Information to see the parts.

Jim, you were correct. When I loosened the screws (almost all the way for the bottom screw) I was able to get the safety lever to move forward, barely! it's still super tight.
Who can I send this to and have it fixed that won't take a year to get back and cost more than the price of the gun?

HDave Fjeleene in Lincoln Ca. He doesn’t do internet or computers so here’s his cell number1-916-521-1334. Tell Dave how you got his contact. He great and turn around time is outstanding and reasonably priced

Fjelene only works on Parkers per my last conversation with him. His work is excellent and he's fast.

Best to take the stock off and not guess. You should find the problem immediately.
