For me, I'm not looking for any particular gun, but always interested in nice 32" smallbore dove guns. Well, maybe a 28" lightweight 20 ga. for quail, too ............ SRH |
I'm with Rich. I'm maxed out on Parkers and have plans this year to move as many as I can at one of the SxS events. But..... I'm a sucker for smallbores so who knows what appears.

I'll continue to look for two special guns.
1. Parker Repro 20 GA with 26" Q1/Q2, St Stk and Splinter, 14 3/4" LOP. 2. Nice condition late 16 GA DHE 1 frame with 26" Barrels and good dimensions. Bob Jurewicz |
Not sure as of yet, it appears that 2020 may still be a work in progress.:corn:

Dont really need, but would like to have:
1. Grade 2 or 3 20 ga, I have a VH, VHE, and a PH. 2. Perhaps a light 12 ga. for pheasant hunting wild birds, maybe a 1 frame gun. I have never in my life been duck hunting, so dont need a heavy gun. 3. I have 12 , 16 ga guns --4 are parkers, but still holding on to that set of 16 ga 34" Twist O frame hammer gun barrels and frame. Really wanted to get some feedback from my good Parker friends at the SXS shoots this year, hopefully/maybe this year. |
Harold, Hope you can make something out of that 34” 16. I have a project I hope to make something out of this coming year too, but it is just a 26” 16

I added some good Parkers this year and should be content. I may consolidate a bit and focus on 1 or 2 special guns this coming year. Here's my list in no particular order:
1. Grade 3 or 4 lifter in 12 or even 16 if possible(I got one in 10 gauge this year and would like to find one in a smaller gauge, they are just gorgeous to me) 2. Shootable Back Action(I just love these early guns, I have passed on a few projects that I wish I had bought) 3. 16 PH with twist barrels(I missed a chance to get one this year and didn't realize how nice it would have been) 4. 20 VH(straight stock would be preferred) 5. SBT(I am long overdue for a Parker trap gun) We'll see what happens. Over the holidays I am going to go through my Parkers and a few other guns and see what I might want to move along so I might fund next year's goals. I should have a few projects coming back repaired/refinished, which I am also excited about. |
Three guns:
1. Browning Citori 28 gauge 32 inch barrels Grade III or higher for sporting clays 2. Parker 12 gauge raised rib 32 inch barrels 2 Frame G Grade or higher 3. GH 16 gauge with 28 or 30 inch barrels on a 1 frame All shooters as they will be shoot on regularly. |
a 8 ga and maybe a coupla 10 ga s would be ok with me....charlie

At the very top of my list would be a Parker Reproduction BHE .410 on a 0000-Frame -- make sure it is straight gripped, has a splinter forend and is equipped with double triggers please! I don't believe I could ever justify current market pricing for one of these rare little jewels, so it is and will probably remain a pipe dream for this Ol' Po' Boy.
Beyond the above gun, others on my list that I'd like to find would be: * Just one example of a Parker Reproduction .410 on a 00-frame in any gauge (a single gun that is not a part of a 28/.410 bi-gauge set). * Just one example of any Parker Reproduction 20 or 28ga. w/28" bbls. that is factory choked IC/M in any grade. * Just one example of a Parker Reproduction 12ga. w/28" bbls. that is factory choked Q1/Q2 in any grade. * Just one more example of a Parker Reproduction DHE Sporting Clays Classic model with a straight grip, splinter forend and double triggers (other than the two known to exist). |
