I wish the members who complained would come forth and give their reasoning....

The reason I asked for Parker owners of guns exibited in the 1915 Pan-Am Exposition is that I had something to offer them to go with their gun’s display.

Maybe this is a reason not to. The PGCA forum is a good place to be, and we keep it that way.

The picayune reason is simply that the narrow minded objectors foresaw lost revenue from research letters. This is infinitesimally unlikely, as it would have required a living owner of one of those guns to see it on the PGCA site, and copy it as a satisfactory replacement to a real letter from their ASSociation.
Some people have nothing better to do than exercise their barely measurable authority.
