Has anyone else ever seen the Parker Bros.that high on the frame before?

It’s certainly not the norm but we see such anomalies from time to time.

That engraver probably got scolded.

Perhaps he had just finished a "G" and 'forgot' that this one was not to be that grade. Then straightened it out immediately instead of putting Parker on a slight radius. Certainly didn't hide it by then.

What is the scratch or whatever on the barrel above the forend joint? Is this a sleeved gun?

I mistook the .410 sculpting for a scratch. I took another look and can see it now. I guess I should know better.
