Your blessing is that it is all snow... lately our big snows either begin with rain or end with rain and we wind up with 2-3” of heavy wet slush on the bottom of it all. And if we don’t get it up it will freeze solid and that REALLY sucks.

Not just grouse but the deer movements went nocturnal too. Too darn hot for their winter coats and daytime movement even with rut kicking in. Rut and human pressure are the two biggest rut suppressors. Since we keep pressure to a minimum the heat definitely changed the movements.

As for that ugly snow, Rich, you can have it all!!!!!!!!!!!!

As we say around here, we have three seasons, mud, dust and ice.

In the UP of Michigan, it's 9 months of winter and 3 months of bad skiing

Moved from Midwest to Arizona to enjoy the great outdoors. 2020 is the year of endless summer: 144 days above 100 degrees and 52 of those above 110 this along with the 3rd driest year ever recorded in Arizona.
So please send us some moisture even if it's snow!!!!

Richard Flanders 11-14-2020 09:02 AM

Just hang in there George for another few thousand years and we'll be into the next ice age!
