Are the grip caps on the SBT the same as on the doubles?

Grip caps are the same.

Interestingly, all three of my Remington era SBTs have grip caps marked "Parker Bros. Meriden Conn."

Martin, are you looking for straight or pistol grip?

I'd send pictures to the "Stock Doctor" Dennis Earl Smith. If the stock is original, he can do magic and possibly make it look brand new. It's worth a shot.

After looking closely, I don't see a medallion on the stock so it's not original. Best to have a buttstock made. I looked for years for a buttstock before I found one that could be made to fit. The forend can be fixed so the holes can't be seen.
