I think these tens are capable of 95% patterns with good shot and plastic wads. The overbore can't hurt.

I think that is very possible Bill. I ordered some copper coated # 4's for next years turkey season they may do the trick.

All I know is that my 78,XXX EH 10 gauge (# 3 frame, 30" tubes) patterns so well that I can use 12 ga. RST Falcon Ultra-lites (3/4 ounces of # 8 shot, using silver Gagemates) and outshoot my buddy using 1 1/8 ounces of shot (in his 12 gauge trap gun).

Damn nice gun !!!!! Let's hope I can find some geese this season !

Nice work, I'd forgotten you were a skull boat man. One of the few ways of waterfowling I've not tried but I think I might be a bit overlarge for such work.

There was a fellow posted a few times late last winter from way out in western Canada who I believe did some skulling for brant. I traded a few messages with him but lost all his contact info when the BBS changed over. Anybody still in touch with him?

Destry, I'm one the the full figured types myself and my float is a bit cramped with 5 mil. waders on. I believe if you like water fowl hunting you should make it a point to try the scull boat, the only thing that is missing is the comradery of a blind. I have a 18' float that belongs to a friend and you would be very comfortable in it. I still get giddy when I think about a early season goose hunt I had last year [ my first year] and I was 30 yards. with birds with heads stuck under their wings sleeping, I had to wake them up to get some shooting in. Looking forward to this year Scott Kittredge bought one, we are picking it up this weekend, I'll have some one to hunt with and enjoy the action.

Dean, My boat is glass and weighs 110 lbs. It is a Banks boat made now in Ontario. I modified a trolling motor, cut the shaft down to about 12" and have two good batteries and and go all time I would want to out there. I finish off my sneak with the sculling oar. Scott found his on EBay for a good price, I won mine at a DU dinner and didn't do a thing with it for years.
