So is the pad original I see no mention in the letter as to what was ordered . Nice gun !

Josh L. had a 20 gauge, 30" DHE, fully checkered and it also lettered as such and I think it was also shipped to CA if I am not mistaken. It was the 1st 20 gauge D grade that I had seen.

James, I will be giving away all of my D grade hammerless guns after seeing yours.

There is,or was, a fully checkered forend on Ebay recently.Serial number was 182749 and I don't see it now or that it was sold either.

Here you go James. This is the DH 16 wood I spoke of lastnight that I fit to my VH20. It's a fully checkered forend also. I also got the metal in the deal. I kept my old wood and metal in case I ever sell the gun. The checkering on the original wood was butchered by a rookie. I can at least bring this checkering back to its original. I may checker it about halfway to look worn, but present, and allow the wood or finish to match the metal's vintage of 1904. This is just a good ol shooter, not a show piece.
Brian Dudley, any input would be helpful.
Chris
