I'm not a 12 ga fan but I love my Purdey light game gun. 28 inch barrels choked IC/M. I use RST 2 inch 15/16 load and it patterns very well with no gaps. A great light (6 LBS ) gun perfect for all the upland hunting I do.

Rich ,a 6lb 12ga Purdey with 28" barrels sounds about perfect to me for grouse and woodcock shooting, I find 5 1/2 lbs too light but 6 to 6 1/2 lbs just about right.

It is about as perfect as a gun can be. It's the only 12 I hunt with:)

Is it ok to shoot two inch shells in a 2 3/4 inch chambers?

James L. Martin 05-29-2020 10:11 AM

I don't see any problem, they sell 12ga 3 1/2 guns that you can shoot 2 3/4" thur.

Yes you can shoot 2 inch in a 2 3/4 inch chamber
