Nonsense!
Save the original stock to be passed along to the next owner of your gun.

These two VH's were restocked by Show Me Gun Stocks in Warsaw, Missouri. The 16 came to me from my cousin without a stock and the 12 lost it's stock and barrels at the hands of Sherman Bell. I got the straight stock trigger guard bows from Galazan's https://connecticutshotgun.co/parker...t-grip-guards/ Donnie Gemes kept the cost down by picking up scrap wood off the floor.

I think Dean has convinced me, PB stamp under the tang, I would hate to loose it. I wish I could afford another one! I guess a guy needs a PG amongst all the British straight grips!

What I meant was to change it to a straight grip if you want to but save tha original for historic verification and if the next owner wants a pistol grip, he’ll have the original.

Totallly got it, just needed that swift kick! It would be cool to convert but would really regret it later. A replacement stock is a long shot. So it will stay!

Best option is to just buy another gun, once with a straight stock. :D
