I shipped a rifle back in Feb from my FFL to another, and when I was doing the transfer my FFL said they would not ship to a private FFL . I dont know if that is their store policy or what I have never heard of that before . |
An FFL is an FFL. Period.
Unless you misunderstood their policy, there is absolutely no legal reason behind them doing that. True, an FFL can make their own rules as to who they want to do business with and not. But.... There is absolutely no way for an FFL to know how or where another FFL operates their business. The receiving FFL copy is provided to the shipping FFL (or individual shipper), it has an FFL number, the type of license, a premises address and a mailing address on it. The validity of the license is confirmed with the ATF and that is it. The nature of the business, or the nature of the addresses displayed on the license are in no way conveyed to the other FFL verifying the license. I think you got something wrong in interpreting what they told you... |

They did do the transfer for me but they confused me when they asked me that . Never had a gun shop ask me that before . |
Same issues here in Michigan.. Also, All banks in Michigan are now drive thru only and cashiers checks cannot be purchased through the drive thru.

So I am really glad that I live in NH and not Mass. Our Governor deemed gun shops to be essential because home protection is essential. As yes, the land of liberals:)

But our Governor kept them open. He definitely has our backs as gun owners and has demonstrated that on several veto's on democratic anti gun legislation.
