Exactly. The easiest solution. Win/win. Perhaps if Mr. Dugan were to post and couple of photos of his stock a match could be made.

If you swap the fore ends, matching isn't too important unless there would be what I assume would be minor fitting issues

OK short stockers - line forms to the left. no need to thank me. A nice bottle of brown water would be sufficient

If the frame sizes are the same the chances are very good.

I needed a shorter stock for Kathy’s Repro 28 gauge and a member here was nice enough to sell me an extra he had.... and it fit perfectly.

I have 2 other 28 ga
Repros, but both single
Trigger, and the 4 barrels
Fit the long stock receiver as they were all fitted, i am now using a beaver tail for end on the splinter iron
Sounds like i am making a mess
But it works for me.

Got the beavertail for 100 dollars
But no iron

I also swapped barrels and forends back & forth between Kathy’s Repro 28 and mine.

The second forend for my 28 gauge two barrel Repro is a BHE or AHE 00 frame beavertail that I lucked into. It fits like it was made for the gun, without alterations. I tried to reunite it with the original gun, but the suspected owner, a PGCA member, would not return my correspondence.

Another note about length of stocks. Single Trigger stocks are longer than Double Trigger stocks since the length of pull is measured from the trigger, which on SST guns is in the rear position. Yes, you can have mid and forward position single triggers, but They were not offered on Repros.

So, your best option is finding a Double trigger stock, which will be around 3/4" shorter, and remove the wood in the head needed to clearance for the SST mechanism.
Your stock is on the longer side to start with for a SST. So another SST stock would likely still get you what you need.

Shorter stock

Pat call me when you can. Let me know what you are trying to do and I will see what's available from people I know, Maybe we can come to something 908-284-2800 Thanks Richard Skeuse
