Yes Dean I have read Gene Hill's about wifes and guns, my problem is UPS....! My UPS driver knows to deliever after 5 if a signature is needed, see my problem.....:shock: I can hope that maybe I get a sub driver on Wed and he comes by mid morning, early afternoon....(Please..!) Trust me this was not the time for that gun to come by:eek: So Don I do feel your pain....:) But damn it's fun.

Do you have the UPS customer center nearby where you live? One time I came home and I noticed they tried to make a delivery and left that note on the door. UPS usually comes later in the day but this time arrived much earlier. I was expecting arrival of my shotgun and knew it needed a signature. I went to the customer center and they got a hold of the driver on his cell. I found out where he was for lunch and picked up my package.

You could find the tracking number and request the customer center have it for customer pick up if there is still time....

This morning, I was visiting my dear wife of 35 years in the hospital. My cell rang and it was the vendor of the Remington Model 11 D I had bought last night. I had already sent him an FFL and told him to call me for my CC number. The transaction went quickly while the nurse was tending to my wife...after the call my dear looked up at me from the bed and said, "Congratulations, you have yet another gun.":rolleyes: Wives are like bird dogs, lovable but it takes persistance, patience and training to make them useful members of the family. Besides, it's her birthday tomorrow. I wonder how she'll like ...her present, the cased Parker U grade lifter?:shock:

My pointers don't care how many shotguns I carry in! I must agree, I couldn't have pulled off the BD thing when I was married.
The wife of a friend of mine was giving him some grief about buying a new shotgun at dinner one nite. I mentioned that we were hunting the next day and I had to use a hundred year old shotgun. She turned to him and asked Why He couldn't be so frugal!
He didn't even bother to try to explain.

That is until the guns go on the garage sale! You know you have been telling her that old gun didn't cost much.

Here at our house we solved this problem by not having a full time live-in house women. The only drawback to this scheme is that Danny usually open,s the gun box's first and promptly assembles the gun. What follow's after that is usually "Hey Dad that new Parker fit's me pretty good" and I say"Great.... that's just great" I lose more good gun's that way.....:banghead:
